Privacy Policy

At Bronze Home Accessories - Mustafa Balıkcı (“Bronze Home”, “we” or “us”), looking after the information you trust us with when you use bronzehome.com (the “Site”) is part of how we work. This Privacy Policy explains our general approach to personal data on the Site, the security measures we take and how you can manage your communication preferences.

Full details of what personal data we process, why and on what legal basis, who we share it with, how long we keep it and your rights under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) are set out in our KVKK Privacy Notice. The cookies used on the Site are described in our Cookie Policy. Please read this policy together with those documents.

Language: This English version is provided for convenience. The Turkish version is the authoritative text, and it prevails in the event of any inconsistency.

1. Our approach

Only what we need: We ask for the information needed to prepare, deliver and invoice your order and to answer your questions. You can check out as a guest without opening an account.
We never see your card: Card payments are made on our payment providers' secure payment pages, and your card details never reach Bronze Home.
No advertising tracking: We do not currently use any analytics or advertising cookies; we only use the strictly necessary cookies the Site and payments need to work (see the Cookie Policy).
No selling or sharing for advertising: We do not sell or rent your personal data or share it with third parties for advertising. We share it only with the recipients listed in our KVKK Privacy Notice, for the purposes stated there.
Marketing only with your consent: We send newsletter emails only if you have expressly opted in.

2. How we keep your data secure

As required by Article 12 of the KVKK, we take appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent unlawful processing of and unauthorised access to your personal data, and to keep it safe. In particular:

Encrypted connection (HTTPS): Everything sent between your browser and the Site is encrypted using HTTPS, so the information you enter in our forms is protected in transit.
Card details never reach us: Card payments in Türkiye are taken on iyzico's secure payment page with 3D Secure; international card, Apple Pay and Google Pay payments are handled by Stripe. Your card number, expiry date and security code are neither processed nor stored on the Site's servers.
Hashed passwords: Your account password is not stored in readable form; we keep only a one-way hash of it. This means we cannot see your password either, and if you forget it you will need to set a new one.
Hosted in Türkiye: The Site and its database are hosted by a hosting provider in Türkiye.

No method of transmitting or storing data over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If personal data we process is obtained by others unlawfully, we will notify the people affected and the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board as soon as possible, as the KVKK requires.

What you can do: Choose a strong password that you do not use on other sites, never share it, and sign out when you have finished on a shared device. Bronze Home will never contact you by email, telephone or message to ask for your password or card details; if someone does so in our name, please let us know.

3. Your account and your information

If you have an account, you can update your details from your account. If you would like your account closed or your data deleted, email us at info@bronzehome.com. When your account is closed, your data is deleted or anonymised, except for invoice and accounting records that we are legally required to keep. How to exercise your rights under the KVKK is explained in our KVKK Privacy Notice.

4. Newsletter and communication preferences

Order updates: We email you whenever your order status changes (“Being prepared in the workshop”, “Shipped”, “Delivered”) and share your tracking details. These emails are needed to fulfil your order and are not marketing, so they are sent whatever your newsletter preference.
Newsletter: You subscribe only by ticking the relevant box yourself. The box is never pre-ticked, and subscribing is not a condition of placing an order or opening an account.
Unsubscribing: You can withdraw your consent at any time, free of charge: use the unsubscribe link in our newsletter emails, change the newsletter setting in your account if you have one, or email info@bronzehome.com. We will then stop sending you the newsletter.
When you contact us: If you get in touch through the contact form, by email, by telephone or on WhatsApp, we reply through the same channel or using the contact details you give us. We respond to bespoke order requests within 2 working days.
Trade customers and dealers: Correspondence about quotation requests and the dealer panel is carried out to manage the business relationship concerned.

5. Children

The Site and our products are not aimed at anyone under 18. People under 18 should not open an account, place an order or send us personal data. If you become aware that a child's personal data has been sent to us, please email info@bronzehome.com and we will delete it, unless we are legally required to keep it.

6. Third-party links and services

The Site contains links to, and content from, services that Bronze Home does not control. These services have their own privacy policies, which we recommend you read before using them.

Payment pages: Information you enter on iyzico's and Stripe's payment pages is processed by those providers. If you use Apple Pay or Google Pay, the providers of those services may also process data under their own terms.
WhatsApp: The WhatsApp button on the Site is simply a link; tapping it takes you to WhatsApp (Meta). Conversations on WhatsApp are subject to WhatsApp's own terms.
Google Maps: The map on our Contact page does not load unless you click “show map”. When you do, the map is loaded from Google's servers and Google may set its own cookies.

Bronze Home is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of other websites we link to.

7. Visitors from the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom

Bronze Home is based in Türkiye, and your personal data is processed primarily under Turkish law. Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the UK GDPR applies to our processing of your personal data, the following also applies.

Legal bases. We process your data where it is necessary to perform our contract with you or to take steps at your request before entering into one (for example, to deliver your order); where we must do so to comply with a legal obligation (for example, keeping invoices); where it is in our legitimate interests (for example, keeping the Site secure and preventing misuse), provided those interests are not overridden by your rights; and, for our newsletter only, on the basis of your consent.

Your rights. Subject to the conditions and exceptions set out in the law, you have the right to:

access the personal data we hold about you and receive a copy of it;
have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected;
have your data erased, for example where it is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was collected;
restrict our processing of your data in certain circumstances;
object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time;
data portability: to receive data you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format, or have it sent to another organisation, where processing is based on your consent or on a contract and is carried out by automated means;
withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before you withdrew it.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@bronzehome.com or write to us at the address below. We will reply within one month, and may need to ask for information to confirm your identity first.

Complaints. You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the EU or EEA country where you live or work or where you believe an infringement took place. In the United Kingdom, this is the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). You may also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Board. We would, however, appreciate the chance to address your concerns first, so please feel free to contact us.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Site's services, to how we process personal data or to the law. The current version is always published on this page, and the “Last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed. We will announce significant changes on the Site.
