Setting a tea-time table
Where the tray, cups and sugar bowl go; a short routine for serving tea to guests.
A good tea table starts with the tray. Place it in the middle of the table, within everyone's reach, with the teapot and hot water at the back and the glasses at the front.
Layout
Keep the sugar bowl and spoons together at one edge of the tray. A small footed plate for biscuits or Turkish delight adds height without crowding the table.
The final touch
Pour the tea once your guests are seated; slim tulip glasses show its colour best.
